You’ve got mail!

This mailbox with its funny post made of chains caught my attention. On the right side of the box we can see the marks of a previous red flip flag. It is normally used to indicate to the mailman that mail has to be taken!

This definitely would have been an unusual mailbox for the April 1st daily photo blog theme.

I agree Kate, and it would have been unique to show a mailbox with the red flag up. I wonder why we didn't see any like that on 1 April.

So Alex, you must be getting ready for Easter over there. I think I remember a post you made last year. I'll have to go back and look.

This mailbox is indeed very unique. I like it. You should've joined the 1st April theme :)

Nice photo. It has been a long time since I have had a mailbox with the flag. I almost forgot that most of the country uses boxes like that.

YOu guys forget, April 1st was on a sunday. We don't receive any mail on Sunday's. So the postman, postwoman... mail carrier, drops by on Monday after Saturday. Most people add mail to be sent out on Sunday night, probably or Monday morning on their way to work, rather than Sunday afternoon.. possibly. Just a guess.

Super narly picture, Alex. I wonder what the hook is for? Decorative piece?? hahah

Hi Alex, thanks for dropping by my blog and your nice comments. I have been looking at yours and will return often. I used to do some trade shows in Boston. Loved the city and the special beauty.
